When you choose low salt foods exclusively you will have a 24-hour sodium excretion rate below 50 mmol. This is what we call GOOD SALT CONTROL. It provides all the benefits that a diuretic is supposed to provide, with two differences:
- good salt control is more effective
- good salt control avoids the side effects of a diuretic
People who think they are taking a diuretic—or would like to know whether they are— should download and print the PDF of the Doctor's Letter, take it to their doctor and follow whatever professional advice they are given by a doctor who has read the letter.
